BA to operate from new airport in Berlin
British Airways customers will be able to enjoy a more convenient travel experience when they fly to and from Berlin this year.
Berlin Tegel (TXL) airport will be closing and from 3 June all flights to and from Berlin will operate from the new airport, Berlin Brandenburg (BBI).
Berlin Brandenburg becomes the sole airport for Berlin, which will ensure simpler onward connections for customers who are continuing their journey from Berlin.

Prohibition on non-commercial carriage of soya beans, chickpeas and safflower seeds to the USA - Last Updated: 31 January
In effect from 17 January, the US Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (USDA-APHIS) has issued new phytosanitary regulations prohibiting entry of non-commercial carriage (including passengers cabin and checked baggage) of soya beans, chickpeas and safflower seeds from countries where Khapra beetle (Trogoderma granarium) is known to occur.
These restrictions apply to all countries where Khapra beetle is known to occur, including Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Cyprus, Egypt, India, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Myanmar, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, and United Arab Emirates.
