Valdai is situated in a picturesque landscape of forests, hills, lakes
and natural springs. This region is the main source of fresh water in
Russia; it is the start of the three seas’ basins – the Baltic, the Black
and the Caspian Sea. The Volga River starts on its way from a small
spring, the head of the Dnepr River is here; and most of the Neva
River flows through the Valdai Hills. The Iversky monastery creates a
special beauty to this calm and inviting land. If you hear the jingling of
bells, it is because Valdai is a leading bell casting city. Valdai with its
thousands of silver bells will remain in your memory forever!
The resort “Velikoe Ozero (Great Lake)” is located on the banks of
the crystal clear lake of Valdai, Velhe. “Velikoe Ozero” resort is an
excellent place for fishing, hunting, hiking, biking, boating or just
relaxing. You will feel the stress of the real world drop from your
shoulders as you wander through the forests or enjoy a traditional
Russian “Banya” (sauna) and afterward watch the unique Valdai
sunsets from your own porch as your day comes to an end.
The rustic wooden cottages hidden in the forest have their own
kitchens with supplies such as plates, glasses, cutlery and a
refrigerator, stove, table and chairs. The bedrooms are furnished
simply with single or double beds, night tables and a chest of
drawers. No heating or cooling units are available in the cottages.
Use of the barbeque and picnic areas make for fun lunches or
dinners and allow you to enjoy the outdoor life.
Enjoy daily folk shows with singers and dancers for your
entertainment. On occasion, when there is a wedding or a namesday
celebration going on in town, you may get the chance to experience
a true Russian get together!

showers, divided into two parts for men and women and two complexes with
washrooms/WC very close to the cottages. All the showers and washrooms are
situated OUTSIDE the cottages, but within a short walking distance.

▪ VIP/ Deluxe accommodation: the exclusive offer for those who would like vacation
with friends or colleagues. There are three modern 2-storey wooden cottages with
washroom facilities inside and deluxe rooms. They are situated closest to the
“banya” area in the birch forest.

Prices per deluxe unit including bathroom/shower facilities start at $380.00
per night/per unit up to 8 persons.
