DAY 1 – Arrival – Moscow
Arrival in Moscow and transfer to the hotel. (no guide is included) Afternoon city tour
including the Kremlin and the Armoury Room. Evening at leisure. Overnight Moscow.
DAY 2 – Moscow
Morning tour of the Red Square and Novodevichy Convent. Afternoon visit to the
famous Tretyakov Gallery. Evening at leisure.
Overnight Moscow.
DAY 3 – Moscow – Rostov
Depart this morning with your English speaking guide to Rostov, with visits along
the way to Seriev Posad and the famous Troitse-Sergieva Lavra founded in 1345.
Continue to Pereslavl-Zalessky, visiting the Nikolsky monastery and the Flat Iron
Museum. Arrival in Rostov late afternoon. Overnight Rostov.
DAY 4 – Rostov – Yaroslavl
You will depart on a city tour of Rostov, which is one of the oldest towns in Russia.
Afterwards continue to Yaroslavl and a city tour before arriving at the hotel for the
evening. Overnight Yaroslavl.
DAY 5 – Yaroslavl – Suzdal
This morning you will depart for Kostroma, with a city tour of the Ipatiev monastery
and the Troitsky Cathedral. Continue to Suzdal for the evening.
Overnight Suzdal.
DAY 6 – Suzdal
This morning you will learn some of the history of Suzdal and see the Convent of
Assumption and Saint Alexander Convent, dating to 1240 and the wondrous wooden
church of St. Nicholas. Overnight Suzdal.
DAY 7 – Suzdal – Moscow – Departure
You will depart for Vladimir, which is one of the medieval capitals of Russia and
two of its cathedrals are World heritage sites. Continue along to Bogolubovo with
its magnificently decorated Uspensky Sobor. Arrival in Moscow and transfer to the
airport or train station.
