Located in Ismailovo, the historical complex of Stalin’s Bunker is a branch of
the Central Museum of the Armed Forces. The original bunker was created
in the 1930’s and is connected with downtown Moscow with a 17 kilometer
underground tunnel. Visit the spacious reception hall, conference room and
private study of Stalin’s. The ceilings were made specifically low to allow for
perfect acoustics to hear the low whispering voice of Stalin himself.

Russian nesting dolls or better known as Matrioshki are probably the most
popular Russian souvenir that one can buy and take home. The first town
which made these dolls was Sergiev Posad, approximately 75 km from
Moscow. Take the picturesque drive through the countryside dotted with
local Dacha’s (summer cottages) and forests of birch trees. Sergiev Posad is
actually best known for its monastery, built in the 14th century, the holiest of
monasteries, the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergiev. Built around the monastery, a
small town grew including the factory where the Matrioshka dolls are made.
It is possible to visit the factory to watch all stages of Matrioshka production.
