Day 1 – 3 – Arrival – Moscow
Arrival in Moscow, city tour including visit to the Kremlin and one of the
cathedrals. Visit the famous Arbat or go shopping in some of the world class shops
of Moscow. Finally on day three you will start the river cruise towards St. Petersburg.
Day 4 – Moscow – Uglich
Arrival in the picturesque town of Uglich. You will enjoy a city tour including a visit to
the Uglich Kremlin, St. Dimitri of the Blood Church and Transfiguration Cathedral.
Return to the ship.
Day 5 – Uglich – Yaroslavl
City tour including a visit to the church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, Church of
St. Elijah the Prophet and the Transfiguration monastery.
Return to the ship.
Day 6 – Yaroslavl – Goritsy
Tour the grounds of the Cyril-Belozersky monastery.
Return to the ship.
Day 7 – Goritsy – Kizhi
Arrive on the tiny island of Kizhi, which is also part of the UNESCO’s (United Nations
Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) world heritage sites boasting the
Church of the Transfiguration with 22 onion domes!
Return to the ship.
Day 8 – Kizhi – Mandrogui
Enjoy this picturesque town located on the final locks of the river. You will have time
to wander around and explore. Try some local cuisine and watch craftsmen making
lace, ceramics and Matrioshki (Russian nesting dolls).
Return to the ship.
Day 9 – 12 – Mandrogui –St. Petersburg – Departure
Today you will arrive in St. Petersburg with the opportunity of visiting the Peter and
Paul Fortress, Hermitage museum, the town of Pushkin and finally end your river cruise.
