DAY 1 – Arrival – St. Petersburg
Transfer to the hotel with English speaking guide.
Overnight St. Petersburg.
DAY 2 – St. Petersburg
Enjoy a city tour including a visit to Peter and Paul’s fortress (the burial site of Nicholas
II and his family as of 1998). Afternoon at leisure.
Overnight St. Petersburg.
DAY 3 – St. Petersburg
Travel to Pushkin with your English speaking guide to Catherine Palace which is an
exceptional exhibition dedicated to all Russian Tsars. Later, visit Alexander Palace,
where the royal family was arrested and from where the royal family was sent to
Ekaterinburg to their tragic end. Return to St. Petersburg mid afternoon.
Evening at leisure and overnight in St. Petersburg.
DAY 4 – St. Petersburg – Ekaterinburg (train travel)
Visit the Yusupov Palace, where, in the basement of this palace, famed Rasputin was
murdered.Transfer to the train station and board the train to Ekaterinburg.
Overnight on the train.
DAY 5 – Onboard
Enjoy the travels on the train today.
DAY 6 – Arrival – Ekaterinburg
This morning you will depart on a city tour with your English speaking guide.
Sights will include various city squares, the Hill of Ascension, where the Palace of
Rastorguevs-Kharitonovs is located, and the
Church of Spilled Blood, built on the location of Ipatiev’s house, where the last Russian
Emperor Nickolai II and his family spent their last days. Visit the obelisks placed at the
border of Europe and Asia, where you literally can have one foot in Europe and one in
Asia. Afternoon visit to Ganina Yama where the Last Russian Tsar’s family was buried
and a monastery dedicated to the martyrs was erected(July 15 – 19 each year are
known as the Sorrow Days, dedicated to the Romanovs last living days).
Return to Ekaterinburg for the night.
DAY 7 – Ekaterinburg
An excursion with your English speaking guide to Alapaevsk, Nizhnayaya
Sinyachitha settlement (the first burial place of the Romanov family), which is located
approximately 140 kms from Ekaterinburg and visit the local museum housing some
original photos of the Romanov Family.
Return to Ekaterinburg for the night.
DAY 8 – Ekaterinburg – Moscow
Transfer with your English speaking guide to the railway station to travel on the
morning train to Moscow.
Overnight on board.
DAY 9 – Onboard
The whole day is spent on the train today. Relax and enjoy the landscape going by.
Overnight on board.
DAY 10 – Moscow – Departure
Arrival in Moscow today and transfer to the airport with a local English
speaking guide for your flight home.
