Friday arrival – 12 nights



Friday, Day 1 – Ben Gurion Airport/Tel Aviv

On arrival at Ben Gurion Airport our representative will meet you and assist with  transfer to your hotel. Balance of the day is at leisure.


Saturday, Day 2 – Tel Aviv (Shabbat) B

The day is at leisure to attend Shabbat services or relax on your own.


Sunday, Day 3 – Tel Aviv/Caesarea/Megiddo/Druze Village/Haifa B/L/D

We head north to Caesarea to see the excavations of the Crusader’s City, the aqueduct and the amphitheater, now a popular concert venue. Some 30 miles southeast of Haifa we find Megiddo where excavations have unearthed more than 26 layers of ruins which indicate a long period of settlement. We continue to Mount Carmel to enjoy a late lunch at a local restaurant before proceeding to Haifa for a panoramic view of Haifa Bay and the golden domed Baha’i Shrine and gardens.On arrival in Galilee check into your hotel.Dinner at the Kibbutz Hotel.


Monday, Day 4 – Galilee/Safed/Golan Heights/Winery visit/Galilee B/D

On this day we focus on Safed, the center of the Kabbalah movement where you will visit the ancient synagogues and Artists’ Colony. See the Yosef Caro and the Ari Sephardic Synagogue, the most important synagogues in the city. Spend time strolling around the bustling Artists’ Quarter, and later continue to the Golan Heights to see Kuneitra and then Katzrin, the largest Jewish settlement in the Golan. This quiet community is now home to a successful winery which we will tour, followed by wine tasting. Proceed to the Magic of the Golan “Kessem Hagolan” visitor’s center located in Katzrin for an IMAX theater multi-media presentation on the area and its history. Dinner at the Kibbutz Hotel.


Tuesday, Day 5 – Galilee/Sea of Galilee/Nazareth/Jerusalem   B

We start the day with a visit to Nazareth to visit the Church of the Annunciation. Continue to Tiberias located on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee. In the nearby village of Capernaum visit the ruins of the 5th century Synagogue. See the Octagonal Church of St. Peter.  Next is the Mount of Beatitudes, and then we head to Beit She’an at the junction of the Jordan River Valley and the Jezreel Valley. Stop in Beit Alpha located in the Beit She’an Valley to see the beautiful mosaic floor of the ancient Synagogue from the Byzantine period. We end the day driving via the Jordan Valley towards Jerusalem. The remainder of the day is at leisure.


Wednesday, Day 6 – Jerusalem/Old City/Bethlehem    B

We start the day with a magnificent panoramic view from the Mount of Olives, and then drive to the Old City to visit the traditional site of the Tomb of King David, sacred to Jews, Christians and Muslims alike. Enter the walled city and walk through the newly restored Jewish Quarter, one of the four traditional quarters of the Old City. Walk the Herodian Quarter. Continue to the Western Wall and then along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.  Then to Bethlehem, where we visit Rachel’s Tomb and Manger Square, flanked by the Church of the Nativity and the Mosque of Omar. Return to Jerusalem for overnight. The remainder of the day is at leisure.



Thursday, Day 7 –  Jerusalem/New City   B/D                                 

We drive to the Israel Museum, Israel’s national museum in the Givat Ram district of Jerusalem, which houses the Shrine of the Book and the famous Dead Sea Scrolls. Our next stop is the Holyland Model of Jerusalem, a 1:50 scale model of Jerusalem in the late Second Temple period. Continue to the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament. We now head to Mount Herzl located on the west side of Jerusalem, and then to Yad Vashem, the memorial to the Holocaust. Afterwards we head to Mea Shearim to learn about the unique lifestyle of the ultra-orthodox communities. Return to the hotel for some time at leisure. In the evening enjoy a Middle Eastern dinner followed by the spectacular 45 minute “Sound and Light” show at the Tower of David. Overnight in Jerusalem.


Friday, Day 8 – Jerusalem/Qumran/Masada/Dead Sea/Jerusalem   B

We drive through the Judean Desert to the Dead Sea and then continue to Masada. Ascend by cable car to the top to tour the fortress and visit the remains of the palaces, synagogues, the bathhouses and the walls before descending by cable car. Then experience floating in the unsinkable waters of the Dead Sea. Overnight in Jerusalem.


Saturday, Day 9 – Jerusalem  (Shabbat)  B

The day is at leisure. Optional services at one of the many synagogues. Be part of the special atmosphere of Shabbat.Overnight in Jerusalem.


Sunday, Day 10 – Jerusalem/The Negev Desert/Timna/Eilat   B

Wetravel south through the Negev Desert to see the world’s most ancient copper mines before heading to Eilat. On arrival we visit the Coral World Underground Observatory, one of the largest seaquariums in the world. Overnight in Eilat.


Monday, Day 11 – Eilat or Petra   B

The day is yours in Eilat to relax and enjoy the Dolphin Reef, swim with the Dolphins, windsurf, water ski, dive, snorkel, parasail, hike, camel ride, skydive, shop or relax. Alternatively you may choose to take an optional tour to Petra. Overnight in Eilat.


Tuesday, Day 12 – Eilat/Mitzpe Ramon/Sde Boker/Tel Aviv  B/L

We head for Mitzpe Ramon, a town in the Negev Desert to view the Ramon Crater. Next is SdeBoker, a kibbutz in the Negev established by a group of discharged soldiers and best known as the burial place of Israel’s first Prime Minister David Ben Gurion. Stop for a camel ride experience and a visit to an authentic Bedouin tent. Learn about Bedouin hospitality and enjoy a light lunch. Continue to Hatzerim, a kibbutz west of Beersheba, and then the nearby is an Israeli Air Force Base.  Afterwards we drive back for overnight in Tel Aviv.


Wednesday, Day 13 – Tel Aviv/Ben Gurion Airport B

Transfer from your hotel to the airport in Tel Aviv for departure.
