Usual way to explore Nantes
Nantes is the 6th largest city in France and an important area in the northwest section of the country. It is located in the Loire-Atlantique department of the Pays-de-la-Loire region.
A lively and active university city, Nantes is a pleasant town (Time magazine voted it the most livable town in France.): a visit is highly recommended if you are in the region.

A visitor who comes to this incredible city should visit the top destinations of Nantes:
Chateau des Ducs de Bretagne
Cathedral of Saint-Peter
Jardin des Plantes
The Fine Art Museum
La Coulée du cerf (Parc animalier )
Jules Verne Museum
French destroyer Maillé-Brézé
Château de Goulaine
Natural History Museum of Nantes
This list of prime destinations in the French city could be augmented by less popular but no less important ones. However, it is up to you whether to visit all the main sites or to view only those most interesting.

When you feel hungry, use the following list of the most famous and, undoubtedly, classic French restaurants that have must-visit reputations among tourists. Here is a list of popular cafes and restaurants that are closest to the main city attractions:
La Cigale is a famous brasserie in Nantes, France, situated on the same city square as the Théâtre Graslin. There is a good reason why it has been considered a historic monument since 1964.
L’entrecote Nantes – A chain of restaurants with European cuisine, famous for its exceptional service and black and yellow design.
Villa Cesar– Italian restaurant located in heart of the French city. Here you can enjoy an attractive mix of two European cultures. Ville Cesar is notable not only for cuisine, but also its interior design, service and ambiance. A must-see place for true fashionistas.
Hippopotamus – famous food and restaurant chain is represented here in France. Traditional French cuisine is mixed with American favorite steaks and grills which have become extremely popular in France. Try to visit this café in Nantes as the ambiance is cozier and more homelike than in Paris or other large cities.
Those dreaming about French charm but in a more extreme, bolder and honest way, are welcome to the second part of our article.
If you would like to be an untypical traveler – to explore the clubby streets of Nantes, feel the city’s inner energy and plunge into its exquisite atmosphere more than the an average tourist – welcome to the second part of the article. It could be a paradise for visual media lovers.
It all started when the city’s young mayor decided to implement his unusual idea to invest in art. The result: the city has become edgy – even exotic for an ordinary European – for it’s crazy artworks. It’s not the museums you visit during the average city tour. It’s all about street art, contemporary style, and unexpected decisions of unique designers. Plant them outdoors where everybody has to stare at them and get used to the idea of Contemporary Art.
Now, Nantes is a melting pot of diverse arts and a hot spot of European design in street architecture. Considered to be the most “bizarre” French city for its incredible and sometimes highly unexpected art decisions, this true notion of public art is a smart investment for a place that promotes itself as France’s most “bizarre” city.

For couples planning a wedding, the idea of spending time with loved ones and offering guests a vacation has become more appealing in recent years. (Proof: Twenty percent of couples had a destination wedding in 2015.) Virtuoso travel advisors can double as destination wedding planners, too. My friend Shelly Hilgers recently decided to host her wedding reception at sea (after having a family-only ceremony on land a month earlier), and as we readied to board the ship in Port Canaveral, our group of scattered family and friends popped corks and toasted the newlyweds over Champagne. We spent the next three days sailing around the Caribbean in honor of their marriage, enjoying uninterrupted time together.
Here, three reasons why getting married or hosting a wedding reception at sea are attractive options:
More Quality Time with Loved Ones
Thanks to technology, it’s easier than ever to maintain long-distance friendships, but that doesn’t mean we don’t crave face time. Dozens came together for Shelly and Patrick’s wedding, from all corners of the U.S. After three days in the Caribbean, sipping poolside cocktails and dining on gourmet meals, old friends had reconnected and new friends had been made.
Enough Freedom to Double as a Vacation
Just as Shelly hoped, her reception felt like a vacation for guests. On board and off, we had the space and flexibility to do as much or as little as we wanted. My husband and I spent our shore day in Nassau touring pirate ships while others went snorkeling or wandered around town. We all met up for an afternoon on the beach before heading back to the ship.

Less Stress for the Newlyweds
Weddings can often seem like a lot of fun for guests, but more like endless stress for the couple. By keeping the ceremony small and the reception non-traditional, Shelly and Patrick traded typical pressures for time with guests. “We were able to enjoy the reception without any planned activities like a first dance or speeches,” said Hilgers. “This made for a great, relaxing time.”
DO IT: Several cruise lines offer an array of wedding and reception packages. Royal Caribbean and Princess Cruises can arrange simple or extravagant ceremonies. Smaller, more intimate river-cruise lines including Avalon Waterways and Belmond allow guests to charter entire ships. Virtuoso travel advisors can help select the right cruise, handle group reservations, and organize wedding activities.

Traveling is a new trend that is extremely popular nowadays. People all over the world not only love to travel but also believe that traveling opens new horizons and is essential for everyone who wants to explore the world. People are crazy about traveling. We only live once, and no one wants to waste his life on a boring job, an arrogant boss, or staring at a monitor eight hours a day. Nowadays people value experience and moment, not money and capital. In today’s article we discuss those incredible moments that travel gives to a person.
Travel gives a feeling of happiness
Many people complain of fatigue, bad dreams, nerve strain, and stress. In such condition, it is necessary to change scenery and go somewhere. Psychologists agree with such an assertion, claiming that only travel can provide a full unloading. If you want to feel comfortable, plan several short trips a year, and forgo the customary long holiday.
Travel gives new emotions
Regular travel gives people a feeling of happiness and feeds them with new impressions and exciting emotions. It opens opportunities for new acquaintances. A lot of people become attached to certain areas with beautiful nature and unique sights, seeking to go there regularly. There are a lot of such corners in the territories of Canada, and also in neighboring countries. Scientists have proven that people who invest in travel – living in large centers with various exhibitions, presentations, and concerts of favorite stars – feel much happier than those who prefer a solitary way of life behind a TV or computer monitor.
Travel broadens horizons
Travel happens differently; everything depends on the goal set by the traveler. Some like to spend money on shopping, expensive restaurants, and fashionable clubs. But some learn more about the country of stay and visit museums and historic sites. These people care more about travel itself and learning new things, plunging into a new culture. They learn a lot and broaden their horizons by learning new facts about the foreign country.
